A woman by the age of 52 was viciously attacked by a pit bull whiles she taking it for a walk on Holwick Road (Northern Moor). This incident happened last night (Wednesday, January 6th) and all that is confirmed is that a GMP spokesman stated that they were called at 8.25pm that Wednesday night.
It is also said that a 34-year-old man seen/heard the agony of he woman, with the dog latched onto her, and ran to remove the dog from her. This man was also attacked by the pit bull, but on the bright side stopped it from harming the woman more.
The paramedics arrived on the scene shortly before 8.30pm, being located near Button Lane Primary School. The lady was rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital when they discovered serious bite injuries to her right arm, which she needed emergency surgery for.
It is too early to say anything else on the subject matter, although it should be said that it is also not known if the pit bull belonged to the victim, but what we do know is that it is being kept in kennels while police carry out their investigation.
