There has been a robbery on the streets of Altrincham; there was four robbers all armed with metal bars and baseball bats stole numerous amounts of watches that were reportedly worth up to £750,000.

The four men raided the store using a battering ram to enter the David M Robinson Limited in Railway street, Altrincham at about 12:20 BST on Wednesday, they wore balaclavas while raiding the store. A security guard was made to lie on the floor while the robbers smashed the cabinets and placed numerous amounts of watches in a bag, they then escaped in a Land Rover, which was later found abandoned on Ashworth Close in Bowdon.

A Spokesman for GMP said the precise value of the goods was still to be quantified but have been given an estimate of between £250,000 and £750,000. Detective Inspector Carl Gilbert said the robbery was a “planned and calculated heist, resulting in a hugely valuable haul being stolen”.

The Police are now seeking any advice or witnesses to come forward with any information which may lead to the capture and imprisonment of these thieves.
