Easy Jet, the budget airline company is celebrating what is being announced as the 10 millionth passenger which went through Manchester Airport. To mark this breakthrough the 10 millionth passenger which was no other than Dale Johnson and his partner Gemma Riley were given a pair of flights before they went on their initial holiday which was Copenhagen on Tuesday.

The commercial manager for EasyJet UK – Ali Gayward said “I am really excited to be here today to reward our 10 millionth passengers, with a pair of return flights to any destination on easyJets network. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate”.

Manchester Airport has been receiving higher number of passengers which have continued to grow, with what is said to be more than 30,000 or more people using the airport during April 2015 than this time last year.

The number of people flying into and out of Manchester has rose to 1,723,244. The annual total of passengers now stances at 22,349,472. The most every Manchester Airport was up to 6.7 per cent year on year.
