Thousands of aviation fans fled to the first Manchester Air show in little over two decades, the event which took place in Barton, was last viewed in the early years of the 1990’s, has proved to be a valuable hit as crowds lined in the thousands to see the dare devils pilots show off their unique flying abilities. The crowd was counted to near 15,000 people, who all turned up the Barton City Airport, which was in fact formerly known as Barton Aerodrome.
Those that flocked to the event was treated to more than three hours of daring acrobatic stunts from a variety of aircraft.
The event was somewhat cut short when a surprise thunderstorm caused the last two displays to come to a halt.
