Alton Towers Update

It has been a week since the horrific Alton Towers accident and some of them are already making progress on their recovery. Leah Washington, a 17 years old girl who had to have her leg amputated above the knee is already making progress in her recovery. She has stood up for the very first time since the accident and looking forward to improve as time passes by. Her brother said ” She had a quick recovery, Leah is improving day by day”. She can barely remembers what happened the day of the accident due to the fact that she was sedated in order to keep her alive. 

The incident left her with severe leg injuries and doctors had to take the difficult decision of amputate above the knee. Leah has been describe as a strong girl who won’t let her injures take control of her life. Her family never left her since the accident and have stated that since the incident happened, the family is more closer and stronger than ever. 

Leah wasn’t the only one affected by the incident, four more people got injured, with some of them planning to sue Alton Towers.

This has definitely changed the life of those ones affected, from Daily Manchester we wish them the best of the recoveries.
