Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit yields funny scenes with cat owners

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, released last Friday (16) for Nintendo Switch, has attracted attention on social networks for an unusual reason: videos of cats reacting to the toy that accompanies the new game. The game, which is not yet available in Brazil, comes with a remote control cart and allows the player to create Mario Kart circuits in his own home. The operation is simple: to interact directly with the video game, the small car has a built-in camera.

In the videos, cats react in different ways: there are those who chase the stroller, serving as insurmountable obstacles, and there are also those who are amazed by the toy, passing away from it. On Twitter, the video of user @ yamanoneko_23 was the first to go viral, with more than 209 thousand likes, showing how, in the company of felines, the game is more “challenging”.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit was announced in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Super Mario franchise in September this year. At the time, a Nintendo Direct was broadcast to reveal projects like Super Mario Bros. 35, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, in addition to the relaunch of Super Mario 3D World, scheduled for February 2021.
