History of Liverpool FC

Liverpool are a football club with a vast amount of history being one of the most successful clubs in Europe. Liverpool currently have 18 league titles, 5 Champions league trophies. Only one other club have more Premier league titles which are Manchester United, Liverpool currently have more champions league titles than any other club in England.


One of the most famous cup finals Liverpool have competed in is the Champions league of 2005 which Liverpool were 3:0 down at half time, but in the 2nd half Liverpool came back and drawn 3:3 and in a Penalty shootout Liverpool became champions on Europe for the 5th time. Liverpool hae also won the UEFA Cup 3 times and the European super cup 3 times winning a staggering 11 European competitions. Liverpool have also won a total off 15 Domestic titles 7 FA cups and 8 league cups

Steven Gerrard

Gerrard was an English Midfielder who played for Liverpool,  Gerrard has over 708 appearances for Liverpool scoring 186 goals. during his spell at Anfield he rejected clubs such as Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. Gerrard  has become the only player to get into PFA team of the season 8 times. Gerrard is known for his amazing set pieces, shooting ability and passing ability making him one of the most complete players in world football. one other unique talent Gerrard had was motivating his team he was also part off that amazing night in 2005 where Liverpool was 3:0 at half time to AC Milan and Gerrard inspired them winning a penalty kick and also scoring on the night. Gerrard recently has decided to join MLS club LA Galaxy In July 2015


Jamie Carragher

Jamie Carragher was a Liverpool legend and played as a Centre back for Liverpool he had an amazing talent of tackling players whether it be stand tackles or Sliding. He was well known for his latch ditch tackling and goal line clearances for the club. He was Vice captain to Steve Gerrard and Carragher played over 737 games and scoring 9 goals. One of Carraghers most memorable moments was the Champions league final of 2005 where he pulled his hamstring half way through the game but played on showing determination to stay on the pitch. Carragher now is retired and is a writer for a Newspaper and also a Sky Sports Pundit after he retired from Liverpool
