History of Computer Animation

The earliest form of computer animation was created at Bell Telephone Laboratories in the 1960s. The first time it was ever used in a film was for a sequel to a film that was released in 1976, called WestWorld. The sequel to the film was called FutureWorld and was release in 1976 and featured a simple animation of a hand and a face.

Animation has progressed at an impressive rate over the years and is now used regularly to create TV shows and even films. Computer animation is still a hard thing to accomplish and requires constant work as it can take years to create a film using computer animation, due to the amount of animation that must be done to create it.
