History

The history of Manchester united football club has lived on since the glory days of the 1980s where the great sir Alex Ferguson begun his mission to make this club an awesome team. In 1986 Alex Ferguson became the manager of this team and had a slow start to his career. His position became in jeopardy due to fact that his team were knocked out of the FA Cup by Tottenham in the first round and Ipswich Town who were a very small side at that time surprisingly thrashed Manchester united 6-0. During his time in the 1990s Alex Ferguson started to begin the famous revolution of the ‘Class of 92’ which was a number of teammates that came through the ranks at man united. These players were the names of David beck ham, Paul Scholes, Ryan giggs, Nicky butt, Gary Neville and Phil Neville.  These players stayed at the club for many years and were a major part of the team that won the 1999 treble which will always be classed as one of football’s greatest achievements. The early 2000s found that Man united invested in many foreign players who were no pushovers. Many players’ names include Cristiano Ronaldo, peter schmeichel and jaap stam. These types of players were just few of many foreign players at Manchester United to really make a name for themselves. Cristiano Ronaldo stands out as one of the star performers though as he is a living legend in the clubs history winning many trophies with Man United and scoring many goals. Without Manchester United football club we would not have the superb brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo today. In 2008 we witnessed the incredible double that this club achieved as they won the premier league and the champions league in the same year with a team that included the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez. In 2010 onwards Man United continued to impress as they created more history by becoming the most successful English club domestically as more silverware made its way to the bulging trophy cabinet at old Trafford.
